The groundbreaking concept for Opus One was forged by Robert Mondavi of the Napa Valley and Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Bordeaux’s Château Mouton Rothschild. Mouton Rothschild winemakers crafted Mondavi’s grapes into fantastic wine and aged it in French oak barrels.
